Our Story
Origins
Fire Missions Veteran Services is a Family
Founded in 2024, Fire Missions Veteran Services is a nonprofit started by Brady and Ashlyn Wright. Brady is a combat veteran who has served our country during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Fire Missions’ motto is to leave no veteran behind. We have achieved this through having boots on the ground working with veterans to ensure we meet their immediate needs. We have achieved this through strategic partnerships with other veteran organizations and a vast network of federal, state, and local organizations.
Message From Our Founder – Brady Wright
Iraq Combat Infantry Veteran • Executive Director • Servant Leader
My name is Brady Wright, and as an Iraq Combat Infantry veteran, God has carved a path for my life that I never could have imagined. The experiences I lived through—both on the battlefield and returning home—shaped a calling deep within me: to stand beside my fellow veterans as they face struggles far outside the combat zone. Through prayer, guidance, and a clear sense of purpose, God led me to create what is now Fire Missions Veteran Services, a place where hope, healing, and honor come together for those who have served our nation.
My background in ministry and my degree in Counseling and Social Work from Nazarene Bible College in Colorado Springs, Colorado, laid the foundation for the work we do today. These experiences equipped me not only to understand the emotional and spiritual wounds many veterans carry, but also to lead with compassion, wisdom, and unwavering commitment. My time in ministry strengthened my belief that every veteran deserves dignity, purpose, and a community that refuses to leave them behind.
This mission has never been mine alone. My wife—co-founder, partner, and steadfast supporter—has walked beside me every step of the way. Together, we share a passion for serving veterans, and our two children are growing up seeing firsthand what it means to love people with Christlike compassion and to serve others sacrificially. Our family is rooted deeply here in Kentucky, a place where values run strong; neighbors care for one another, and community truly means something. It is our home, and it is the soil where this ministry has taken root and continues to grow.
Fire Missions Veteran Services was built from a simple belief: no veteran should face their battles alone. Whether through housing support, resources, spiritual guidance, or simply showing up consistently with love, our vision is to be a lifeline—to restore the hope that many feel they have lost and to walk with veterans toward healing and stability.
As Executive Director, I am committed to leading with integrity, compassion, and an unshakeable dedication to those who once raised their hand to protect our freedoms. This is more than a mission; it is a calling placed on my life by God, and I am honored to serve.
Thank you for believing in our work, supporting our vision, and standing with us as we serve the heroes who once stood for us.
